Budget
Your budget should be the first wedding planning conversations you have with your partner. Consider how much time you have to save money, how much you are willing to spend, and what portion of that overall budget you want to spend on the venue. Alpaca Mountain customizes your packages to fit your needs and budget! Everyone deserves to have a beautiful wedding day, and we want to help make that happen. Don’t forget to consider all of the services the venue offers. Alpaca Mountain offers bar space, a honeymoon cabin, planning & coordination, tables, chairs, tablecloths, HVAC, a built-in sound system, and an interactive experience with alpacas!
Availability
When it comes to booking a venue, the earlier, the BETTER! Many venues book one or two years in advance. If you are certain on a specific date, you need to book a venue ASAP. If your date is more flexible, you have a bit more time to shop around. Alpaca Mountain is a new wedding venue, so we have several of the most popular 2022 and 2023 dates available! Fall and spring weddings are big in East Tennessee and often book years ahead.
Capacity
When choosing your venue you’ll want to have at least a rough idea of how many people you will be inviting to your wedding, but your official guest count won’t be due with most vendors until about 3-6 weeks out from the wedding day. Having a venue that is too large with a smaller guest list can make the space feel like a big empty room. On the other hand, you also don’t want to pack guests elbow to elbow. Alpaca Mountain offers a large space that can host up to 200 guests; however, the inside space is separated into 2 floors. This allows you to spread tables as far or as close as needed to keep the space feeling evenly filled and comfortable no matter your guest count.
Rain Plan
When it comes to East Tennessee weather, you never really know what you’re going to get! Since it can be unpredictable, you want to make sure you have a plan B, C, and D. At Alpaca Mountain, we offer outdoor mountaintop space, outdoor covered patio space, and indoor space. And don’t forget, Alpaca Mountain is 1 of 3 barns in the area with heating and air-conditioning!
